How do u solve 100 ml + 250 ml = X ml + 300 ml?

In algebra you need to remember that what ever you do to one side of the equation you must do to the other side.
100+250 = X + 300
to solve for x you need to subtract 300 from each side
100+250-300 = X + 300-300
50 = X
