Set up
by: Niki

Set up a 2 step proportion, first step is to find out how many mL the patient uses per day:

1250 mg = 250 mg
x 5 mL
250x=6250
x=25mL

The patient uses 25mL per day, now you must find out the amount in 30 days:

25mL = x
1 day 30days
x= 750mL

The answer is 750mL.

TOTAL DRUG PATIENT IS TAKING IN A DAY;500mg+750mg=1250mg
available valproic acid syr=250mg/5cc (5cc=5ml)
if 5ml contains 250mg of drug,
then ?ml will contain 1250mg of drug.
cal;
1250mg*5ml/250mg=25ml

patient is taking 25ml of valproic acid solution
a day
30 days supply=30*25ml=750ml
ans=750ml
